Prison Break - Episode 3.02 Recap

On tonight's episode of PrisonBreak, Michael sets out to find Whistler, a prisoner who could be the key to his freedom. Lechero makes it difficult for Michael to find him. He'll also have to race Mahone and Bellick to get to the hidden prisoner. T-Bag works to get on Lechero's good side.

A young prisoner obsessed with American culture still tries to get in with Michael, but he isn't having it. Bellick remains at the bottom of the food chain. Michael asks the young prisoner about Whistler. Two prisoners get into a fight over food and Lechero steps in, ending it. Michael goes to Bellick looking to get information about the mysterious note he slipped in his pocket the day before. After finding out the mysterious prisoner is down in the sewers, Michael heads to look for him. He whispers into the walls that he was sent to get him and Whistler lets him know that if he goes above ground, the other prisoners will kill him. That's a problem.

On the outside, Lincoln sits with the woman he met at the bar, who is responsible for holding LJ and Sara. She insists that he follow every order she gives. He wants a picture of the two to prove they're alive. Deal. This whole thing needs to be pulled off in a week. Lincoln asks her name and she responds that it's Susan B. Anthony. Doubtful. We meet up with our good friend, Sucre, who is buying a gun. He's hellbent on revenge and is without a doubt looking for Maricruz.

Bellick goes from cell to cell, begging for food. He threatens to make some noise about Whistler if Michael doesn't help him out. Michael agrees to take care of him. Deal. The young prisoner has found his way to Mahone, who told him that whoever kills Whistler will get to leave Sona, go to court, and become a free man. That's a hefty prize. Sucre goes to Sona, finds Bellick, and points the gun at him demanding to know where Maricruz is. Bellick admits he never did anything to her. He threatened her and told her to run. She's safe. Bellick begs Sucre to call his mother back in the states so he can get some help.

Mahone heads to the sewers to find Whistler himself. Lincoln also makes his way to Sona to check in with Michael. Michael is nervous - no one has ever broken out of Sona before. He promises that he'll try to break Whistler out or die trying. Mahone tells Whistler he'll take him somewhere safe. Whistler tells Mahone to leave him alone but instead, he tries to break down the walls that hold the valuable prisoner.

Lincoln and Sucre run into each other as Sucre is heading to find Maricruz. The only problem is that she's in Chicago and he's a wanted man there. Lincoln gives Sucre his contact info and tells him to keep Maricruz out of it. Sucre doesn't listen, of course, and heads on a bus to begin his journey home. The woman who found the note on the dead body also is trying to figure out what it means.

Bellick tries to catch T-Bag as he heads to Lechero, who doesn't want to listen until he says that he has information. Bellick is brought to see Lechero and tells him that there's a man hiding down in the sewers. He is rewarded with food and when Michael sees him, knows he was betrayed. Mahone has Whistler at knifepoint but is intercepted by Michael and Lechero's men.

Michael successfully creates a distraction and everyone scatters. He goes to Lechero, asking him to take the bounty off. T-Bag is asked if Michael can be trusted, who says that he is a snake. The prisoners are standing up to riot against Lechero's tyranny. Michael pays the young prisoner to find him some alcohol, for reasons unknown. The woman with the note arrives at the same place Lincoln is, saying she is Whistler's girlfriend.

Sucre decides not to get on the next bus to head home after being stopped by two policemen. Whistler tries to find a new hiding place but Mahone finds him. Lincoln follows the woman, Sofia, out of the bank and grabs something out of her bag. Lechero makes a call to try to get water but his demands are not met and he's left on his own in Sona, like everybody else. Michael sets up something in the basement of the prison to create an explosion. Meanwhile, Mahone has Whistler out in the yard and it looks like he's going to kill him.

The explosion bursts a pipe, bringing water into the prison for the inmates, which stops the riot. Lechero is aware that Michael was behind it and removes the bounty. "Susan" pulls a gun on Lincoln and makes him give up the information he took from Sofia. Unfortunately for Susan, Lincoln gave her a fake book and kept the real one for himself. The man who instigated the riot is brought to Lechero by his men, whimpering. The men seem like they're drowning him in water. Whistler thanks Michael for saving his life and tries to figure out how they're going to break out of Sona. Michael has no idea.
